Bookstores To Donate OJ Profits To Charity

Borders, Inc. and Walden Book Company, Inc., subsidiaries of Borders Group, Inc., a global retailer of books, music and movies, today announced that it will donate the net proceeds from the sale of O.J. Simpson's new book, If I Did It, to a non-profit organization that benefits victims of domestic violence.

"We are currently reviewing national organizations that assist domestic
violence victims and plan to announce the recipient organization soon,"
says Ann Binkley, director of public relations. The book will be available
for sale at all Borders and Waldenbooks stores because we believe it is the
right of customers to decide what to read and what to buy, but we will not
discount the title or promote it."
