An Assortment of Wine Baskets

If you are like me, wine baskets sound like a lovely gift -- but perhaps you are intimidated by what you would expect to pay for such an elegant gift.

However, you can purchase wine baskets at a variety of different price points. Therefore, you need not break the bank by giving some very nice wine baskets.

You can get a nice basket as low as $44.95 for a classic Wine Duet basket -- simple and tasteful. Of course, you can also do it up and spend as much as $499.95 for the elaborate, luxurious Park Avenue basket -- and spend many different amounts in between.

The GiftTree website makes it easy to browse different price points and other considerations to find just the right basket to fit your occasion and your budget. Simply click on one of the links above to get started.

Craft Beer, Signature Cocktails and Organic Wine Top List of Restaurant Beverage Trends

New National Restaurant Association research shows that alcohol is among the hottest culinary trends in restaurants. A survey of more than 1,000 professional chefs -- American Culinary Federation members -- ranks craft beer, energy drink cocktails, martinis, mojitos, artisan liquors, organic wine and specialty beer in the top 20 trends. In addition to cocktails and bar drinks, alcohol is also used as an ingredient in cooking and as part of meals and menus through food-alcohol pairings.

"While wine, beer and spirits have always been part of the culinary arts and restaurant menus, specialty alcohol is increasingly popular right now," says Dawn Sweeney, president and CEO of the association. "As American diners are growing increasingly sophisticated, adult beverages can be an important part of both recipes and meals. Alcohol tasting menus, or flights, are served by more restaurants, and pairing beer and wine with complementary flavors on your plate can very much enhance the dining experience. Our new International Wine, Spirits & Beer Event next spring will highlight all of these trends and allow restaurateurs to explore new ways to please their guests' palates in both dining rooms and bar areas."

Gift Baskets: The Perfect Valentine's Day Gift

It'll be Valentine's Day before you know it.

But finding really good Valentines Day Gifts is always a tough one. Sure, there's the usual box of chocolates or a bunch of roses or any of the usual stand-issue tokens. But that's just the problem, they're a little cliche. A little too-expected. I want to express more than the ho-hum to my beloved.

Gift baskets make a great, original alternative. Gift baskets are a cut above and show your Valentine that they're really special.

Valentine gift baskets are filled with the best chocolates, nuts, wines, and fruits -- all from the finest orchards, vineyards, and cheese makers in the world. Valentine's gift baskets show you care.

More than that, they create a gift the two of you can share to create the most romantic moment possible.
