I haven't read about the Electroshock treatment for Internet Addiction and it sounds so weird. Maybe I'm wrong but I’d prefer to use parental control software to limit Internet usage for my son than use such methods. I use Ez Internet Timer that restricts internet access at specified times or on demand.
