Foundation To Host Leadership Summit On Creativity, Neuroscience
The Global Creative Leadership Summit -- an initiative of the Louise T Blouin Foundation -- will bring together top executives, scientists, politicians and artists to discuss and develop solutions for the complex challenges facing today's leaders with a focus on creativity, cultural empathy, and new findings in neuroscience.
Titled "New Demands of the 21st Century," this interdisciplinary three-day event will be held Nov. 13-15, at the Harold Pratt House and Peterson Hall in New York.
The summit, which will encourage open dialogue among its 100 notable speakers including Bradbury Anderson, CEO of Best Buy; Stephen Schwartzman, chairman and CEO of Blackstone Group; Sir Martin Sorrell, WPP Chief Officer; Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia; Gustavo Cisneros, chairman and chief executive of the Cisneros Group of Companies; HRH PrinceTurki Al-Faisal, ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United States; Richard Meier, architect; Henry Kissinger, former U.S. secretary of state; Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, president of Iceland; Bianca Jagger, Council of Europe Goodwill Ambassador; Richard Serra and Jeff Koons, artists, as well as Nobel Laureates Richard Axel, Daniel Kahneman,Eric Kandel, and James Watson.
According to Louise T Blouin MacBain, chairman of the LTB Foundation: "We need to look to the mind to develop 21st century solutions to 21st century challenges. Whether it is what a leading athlete knows about motivation, what a scientist knows about the brain, what a CEO knows aboutdelivering results, or what a head of state knows about leadership, we need to hear from all voices to understand better the practical ways in which we can find new tools to achieve more in a new world. As just one example, we are only just beginning to scratch the surface of understanding the way themind reacts to advertising: the one factor that drives the economies of the world."
