Online Education More Than Business, Tech

Often times it seems people associate online education with business and/or IT programs -- that it is really most for professionals in those fields get ahead in their careers.

Meet Jeffrey Baker, a 2005 PhD graduate from capella university, and leave those misconceptions behind today.

While it is true that Capella offers undergraduate, graduate, PhD, and certificate programs in business and IT fields, the accredited online university offers so much more.

Baker presented his dissertation research at the 2006 American Psychological Association (APA) Convention in New Orleans. His paper, "Extended Testing Time and GPA for College Students with LD," was part of a session titled "Issues Related to Adults with Developmental Disabilities."

Baker holds a PhD in psychology with a specialization in educational psychology from Capella, which serves more than 19,000 students in all 50 states and 56 countries. Aside from its IT and business programs, Capella provides learning in education, human services, and psychology. In all, Capella offers 82 graduate and undergraduate specializations and 16 certificate programs.
